Issuance of arms licences and its repercussions
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 5:00:59 by Sharjeel AhmadCarrying arms is no more than a sign of power and authority—-both these things are always unfair and detrimental to the interests of humanity. In Pakistan, where law makers take pride in breaking their self-signed laws, every third person either owns bore
arms or wishes to own. For what? Just for the sake of scarring others and getting undue respect plus benefits.
This arms culture is strongly backed by our police authorities and parliamentarians. According to the law, the government authorises the MPs to issue arms licenses in their constituencies according to their wills. The major problem starts from here.
The politicians issue licenses only to their henchmen whom they can use as shields against their opponents. Moreover, these touts lobby for the politicians during election times. In turn to serving their bosses, these arms holding scoundrels perpetrate a
number of crimes and go unpunished.
Most of the routine murders in our country are done with the covert support of the MPs and their lapdog police agencies. This gruesome trend has deprived the country from peace and rule of law. The atmosphere of fear and terror is prevalent across the nation.
No one is safe here.
The ever increasing number of armed people has rendered this territory a hell to live in for the educated and civilized Pakistani youth. The widespread enmities and rivalries do not allow the innocent people to live with peace.
Apart from the shitty culture of licensed arms, there are illegal and unlicensed arms in large numbers in our society. This type of arms is owned by all and sundry. There is no scrutiny and no effective system to curb this menace. Sorry to say our security
agencies are well aware of this issue but they do not take action as there will be no bribery and unfair earnings if the crimes are eradicated.
This bullshit power culture should be discouraged. No person should be allowed to own arms in any case. Believe me, there will be no agony and trouble if there are no arms in the society.
The tradition of bloodshed, which has destroyed our nation completely, should be abandoned forever. There should be peace, serenity and tranquillity in the society.
Let us defy tyranny. Let us deny agony. Let us live with peace. Let us live the way nature wants us to live.

You start your article with bashing licensed firearms and talk about illegal arms later. Shame on you. I am an educated young man and I have got licensed guns. Now call me a scoundrel
