Facebook has introduced a new formula to give more visibility to advertising. An daily announcement will appear that will be in the shape of an integrated message on the member’s social network wall, away from the right column where there are other sponsored
messages. This advertising policy will be phased in gradually in different countries.
Financial Times believes that it is a formula that brings confusion, while TechCrunch branded it as ambiguous. In the Anglo Facebook, the ads are grouped under the concept of sponsored. These new be listed as Featured .
A Facebook member cannot override this advertising option. Of course, clicking on the icon that shows the ad, a warning message is flashed that shows the promotional nature. The specific ad can be deleted. Facebook announced this formula is a system that
increases visibility of ads.
The company from California has had a rise in demand for sponsored ads that associate the image of a member of the network with an advertising message. However, it has been stated that that it violates the state’s law on the use of the images.
