The ‘AGNEEPATH’ series: India tour to Australia
Friday, January 13th, 2012 4:40:24 by Taha HabibHe was expected to hold a calm head on his shoulders,
As the Indians landed for the Thunder Down Under
It all started with the toss in Melbourne,
Michael Clarke won and decided to make runs
Debutant Cowan and experienced Ponting,
Made the task for Indians daunting
India responded with two eighty two,
Before Hilfenhaus tore them into few
Australia earned a 51-run lead,
Not before the Indians started to plead
The Aussies propelled to the 2nd innings score of two hundred and forty,
Courtesy of Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey going naughty
Indians needed to chase two hundred and ninety two,
But, Mahinder Singh Dhoni’s men had no clue
Siddle and Pattinson found the perfect line,
As Indians tumbled for one hundred and sixty nine
The Kangaroos went one up in the four-match series
And Indians were left tasting cherries and Raspberries
Sydney cricket ground hosted the second test,
With India winning the toss and choosing to bat
The Aussie pace battery used their brain,
As the Indians collapsed yet again
Shooting India out for one nine one,
The Australians went out for their turn
After being reduced to thirty seven for three,
Ponting, Clarke and Hussey started the run spree
A triple ton from Michael Clarke,
Left India with a mounting task
Needing four hundred and sixty eight to avoid the innings defeat,
Ben Hilfenhaus knew the best way to treat,
The Indians tumbled again prior to reaching their target,
As the Australians went back walking on the red carpet
Where Michael Clarke was declared ‘man of the match’
Mahinder Singh Dhoni’s XI was easily the flop of the match
With Perth and Adelaide to host the remaining two tests,
The Aussies are certain to turn the heat on their guests!
