Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan, insists his upcoming film ‘Agneepath’, which is remake of the 1990 Hindi film of the same name, is the hardest film he has ever done.
Hrithik, who is known best for his work in ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ (2000), didn’t want to tell much about the movie. However, the actor did reveal that he has never done such a hard movie till date.
“In case of ‘Agneepath’ I feel it is the hardest film that I have done ever…especially the climax scene. I can’t talk much about it; you all must go and see it,” said Hrithik.
The original film ‘Agneepath’, which was made almost 22 years back, featured veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role and this time it is Hrithik Roshan, who has stepped in the shoes of legendary Bollywood actor. Therefore, many out there believe this film will make a huge impact on Hrithik’s image. Nevertheless, Hrithik doesn’t want to compare himself the Mr. Bachchan since he knows Mr. Bachchan’s role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan was a legendary one.
The 38-year-old says, “This is not in my hand. We are doing everything possible to make the film a success. I don’t believe in an image change. I only do films that I like and never think whether or not a movie will change my image.”
In the movie former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, who has also turned a singer now, is playing a lead role opposite to Hrithik. Hrithik commended Chopra by saying her as one of the best co-stars.
“She (Priyanka) is a superb co-star and a very special person. She is the best person to work with. When she is on film sets, the environment turns very positive,” Hrithik added.
Karan Malhotra’s ‘Agneepath’ is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year and it will be released in the cinemas on 26 January, 2012. The film also features legendary stars like Sunjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor playing negative roles in it.
Well, all said and done, let’s see if the film really lives up to the expectations.
