Stuart Broad’s involvement doubtful for the first test between Pakistan and England

The stage is set for the test match between England and Pakistan as we are now only a day away from the most awaited cricketing event in Pakistan. The latest update on the event is that England’s strike bowler Stuart Broad seriously injured himself during
the practice session on Sunday.

The 25-year-old’s involvement is doubtful for the first test match as he suffered heavy bleeding after hitting the ball in to his foot. Broad’s fitness is very important for the English side especially in the absence of Tim Bresnan.

Stuart not only helps the side with his bowling capabilities but his contribution with the bat strengthens the batting line up.

Broad tweeted after the injury, "Afternoon with my foot up being iced. Jimmy [Anderson] got me with an in swinging yorker. Bowling tomorrow so no worries" he also briefed, "Unfortunately, the ball is quite hard – and it was a bad shot. But I think he’s fine."It’s
not ideal preparation for him not bowling today.

Bresnan although has only played 10 test matches for England, his current bowling and batting average will definitely make the side miss him for the coming series.

Tim has scored 318 runs with a sensational batting average of 45.42, with 91 being highest score. His best bowling figures are 5-48 and the Yorkshire seamer has a bowling average of 23.60 with 41 test wickets under his belt.

He is a bit of a lucky charm for the side as well, England have won every test in which Bresnan has played. He had a minor elbow surgery in November and was training for the Dubai test last week before. He suffered swelling and was ruled out of the whole
Test series against Pakistan in the UAE.

Tim explained, "I’m obviously gutted not to play in the Test series but I knew looking at my rehabilitation it was always going to be touch and go, The priority for me now is to get myself ready for the one-day series in February".

On the other hand, Pakistan’s team is fully charged up to take away the series as selectors have done a good job by selecting a balanced side under the stable leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq.
