Karachi: (Monday, January 16, 2012) Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said here today that Pakistan’s political history shows that two prime ministers were murdered, one was hanged to death while the fourth one has been issued
with contempt of court notices.
Talking to the media personnel after condoling the sad demise of Mohsin Shah Bukhari with his family in Tando Muhammad Khan, Wasan lamented, “Two prime ministers, Liaquat Ali Khan and Benazir Bhutto, were murdered while Zulfiqar
Ali Bhutto was hanged and now the fourth Prime Minister has been issued a contempt of court notice.”
Responding to a question with reference to Wali Khan Babar case, the Sindh Home Minister wondered under what condition the two accused arrested from Hyderabad were released by a court. He promised to conduct an investigation into
the matter by himself.
Admitting that only a court could serve justice to the deceased journalist, he said, “Only a court can dispense justice to Wali Khan Babar”.
Talking about election schedule, he said that Senate elections will be held first followed by local and and general elections.
