Apple to start iPad 3 mass production in February, iPad 2 will take a hit in sales – Part 1
Monday, January 16th, 2012 12:34:55 by Usman KhalidApple will start the mass production of the new iPad, allegedly the iPad 3 in February, 2012. Various resources have revealed that the company has outsourced the manufacturing of the screen panels to Samsung and LG instead of the previous vendors Sharp.
If the news is correct, the sales of iPad 2 might see a decrease in sales next month as the estimated release date in light of the latest development in the news regarding iPad 3 will fall somewhere in March. Keeping the tablet’s history, March is the best estimate for the release.
In addition, the resources tell that the new slate will also be Long Time Evolution (LTE) compatible. The 4G network is famous among the smartphone family but rarely is it seen that tablets have this technology. iPad 3 might be the safe way for Apple to embrace the WiMax technology in mobile computing devices.
The release of the tablet will shortly be followed by iPhone’s next generation model, which is expected to a total revamp of iPhone 4 and 4S. Experts are naming the new handset as iPhone 5. However, the surprise still remains at its high due to the extremely unpredictable nature of the company.
There are more rumours of the display panel that will become a part of the new tablet. As it has been longed by experts all over the world, that iPad misses one thing more than others, the HD screen. Many other players in the market have embraced the new tech in their tablets and smartphones. The iPhone 4 and its successor have both incorporated HD format in their screen resolution and the camera but the tablet remains barren of both an HD format and Apple’s signature resolution density technology, the Retina Display.
