Islamabad: (Tuesday, January 17, 2012) Minister for Law Maula Bux Chandio has said that he has not resigned from his office as yet. While talking to the media reporters, he said during his meeting with the President
no one demanded resignation from him.
Replying to a question, Chandio said that they had no fight with judiciary, the court had called them and they were ready to go before it. while maintaining that it was not an issue of asking for apology from the court, he said
that all of them were to accompany the Prime Minister to Supreme Court on January 19.
Saying that being head of an institution it was right of the Chief of Army Staff to express his comments on sacking of secretary for defense, the law minister said that so many issues came under discussion during his meeting with
the president, but the matter of his resignation was not taken up.
Earlier, upon the rumours regarding Chandio resigning from his office, there was news that Babar Awan, the vice president of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) might be tasked with responsibilities of the law minister all over again.
