PTI not ready to make alliance with any political party – Imran Khan

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and cricketer turned politician, Imran Khan has said that his party is not ready to make alliance with any other party to form the government and he will sit in the opposition if he does not get a clear majority
in the upcoming general elections in the country.

Imran has been the most popular politician in the educated class of the country since last eight years but his massive public meetings in Karachi and Lahore has made sure that he is fast emerging as the sign of change in the lower class of Pakistan as well.

PTI is strengthening its roots at grass-root level and a number of high profile politicians of the country have joined the party since last five months. The political analysts in the country are predicting PTI to emerge as a major force in the coming elections.
However, it is going to be extremely difficult for any party to form a government without making a coalition.

Imran understands that his party needs some more time to enhance its chances of sweeping the elections but claimed that he is still ready to contest. However, the cricketer turned politician expressed that his battle is against the old system and for this
particular reason; PTI is not ready to make alliance with any other party.

Chairman PTI said, "The ‘tsunami’ is ready. We will be ready. Obviously it suits our party… if this government goes for another six months. We would happily go into the opposition if we can’t form a government because basically it’s a battle between forces
of status quo and forces of change."

Imran feels that these are the last days of the present government because of its conflict with the judiciary of the country. He believes that the government and Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gillani have no moral authority to rule the country anymore.

"I think it’s the endgame because the government — it’s been openly defying the Supreme Court. I don’t think the Supreme Court is going to back down. They’ve called the prime minister dishonest so really in any decent democracy he should have resigned by
now and then asked to go back to the people," he added.
