Islamabad: (Tuesday, January 17, 2012) Spokesman for the Supreme Court of Pakistan said today that strict security measures will be taken on January 19, when Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani is expected to produce
himself before the apex court.
Besides Gilani, other number of federal minister and member national assembly are also expected to mark their presence in the court to show their support for the PM.
Thus, for media personnel who intend to cover the hearing and other visitors, special passes are being issue to enter into the premises of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
According to the sources of Registrar Office, the SC bench headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk issued a show cause notice to the Prime Minister over non-compliance with court orders.
The show cause notice said as to why an action against the Prime Minister not be initiated for contempt of court and directed him to appear before the court to explain his position.
According to the details, the R & I Branch of the Prime Minister Secretariat registered the time of receiving the show cause notice as 8:05 PM, January 16.
