E-commerce website, LetsBonus, have pledged to deliver the 1500 iPad 2 as soon as they get them. The company failed to deliver the iPad’s over the Christmas period.
"The tablets will be delivered as we receive them," Jordi Torrent said, the communications and public relations officer at LetsBonus. Torrent stressed that they have used different suppliers this time around as the delivery failure of the tablets happened
because one of their supplier breached clauses of their contract.
Affected customers, who booked the tablet under a promotion last December, failed to receive the tablet on due time because of no supply of the devices. The Christmas offer promoted 64-GB iPad 2 for 499 Euros, while its price official price is 799 Euros.
The affected customers can apply for the delivery of the tablet and receive it "within two months". LetsBonus said that they will shortly start taking orders and will all the customers to keep the compensation of 150 Euros to spend on their site.
The reactions from social networks has been slow thus far, however, some of the buyers of the tablets are satisfied with LetsBonus. However, they consider the two months time period being "excessive" and believe that if this deadline is met, it would have
been almost three months since their initial purchase.
The aforementioned Christmas promotion was a huge success due to the attractive price. But the store was unable to deliver the tablets as promised in a timely fashion has been a huge let down to consumers.
It was reported earlier that the website was contemplating on returning the money of consumers. Buyers responded with complaints to consumer organizations and voiced their complaints on the Web as LetsBonus attributed the problem to the supplier who was
contracted for the promotion.
