Taylor Swift delighted with her success last year

American singer Taylor Swift has expressed her delight on her successful last year which saw her secure four Grammy Award wins. Swift took home the award for the ‘Best Album of the Year’ and won three other awards
from the overall eight nominations. The country music singer fell two awards short of Beyonce, who in turn won six Grammy awards.

Taylor Swift’s album ‘Fearless’ topped charts in most countries last year and is one of the most sought after young artist in the country. She continued another successful year after her debut album won praise and introduced her
to the top stage.

Swift claimed that music is what she has dreamed of all her life and the success has never put her under pressure. She stated that she is extremely happy with her music now and sometimes still feels that it is a dream.

“This is what I’ve wanted to do my whole life. It never freaks me out. But you know what does freak me out? When is the other shoe going to drop? I am so happy right now. So I am always living in fear. This can’t be real, right?
This can’t really be my life,” she was quoted as saying in an interview.

The singer insisted that it is a great industry but admitted that you have to maintain your quality because if you mess up once, you lose all your credibility. She stated that you have to come up with more and more new things so
that your music does not become monotonous.

“The stakes are really high if you mess up, if you slack off and don’t make a good record, if you make mistakes based on the idea that you are larger than life and you can just coast. If you start thinking you’ve got it down, that’s
when you run into trouble – either by getting complacent or becoming mouthy. And nobody likes that,” she concluded.

Taylor Swift’s new album is set to some out this year in the summer.
