Siddharth Bhardwaj, Javed Khan lashes out at the 18^th Annual Screen Awards for ignoring Salman Khan

MTV VJ, Siddharth Bhardwaj, who is famously known as Sid, and the Indian actor, Javed Khan, who has acted in minor role in more than 150 films, are not happy at all with the recently held Colors 18^th Annual Screen Awards for not nominating Salman Khan’s name.

Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, was in Sharjah, UAE to enjoy his celebrity cricket tournament while the Colors Screen Awards ceremony shocked everyone by not nominating his name. Therefore, all of Sallu’s die-hard fans including Sid and Javed Khan are furious over the ceremony, as they believe Khan at least deserved one award.

Sid, who recently participated in one of the most possessed Indian reality TV shows Bigg Boss 5, told the media that this year’s award ceremony has disappointed him a lot.

Siddharth Bhardwaj said, “I am one of the biggest fans of Salman Khan and it’s disappointing that he has not been nominated, but I’m sure had he been nominated, he would have won an award.”

Javed Khan, who is known best for his roles in Lagan: Once Upon A Time, Andaz Apna Apna as Anand Akela, and TV series Mirza Ghalib & Nukkad, on the same note was also in a very angry tone.

Javed insisted Salman Khan gave Bollywood two of the biggest blockbusters of 2011 in the form of ‘Ready’ and ‘Bodyguard’ but still he was not nominated in the ceremony, which is a shame. Javed further claimed Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don 2 – The King is Back’ is nowhere near to ‘Bodyguard’ yet he was nominated for it.

“These awards really don’t come to the deserving sometimes, it involves lot of politics. Otherwise, how can Salman Khan be ignored?” Javed Khan said.

“There’s no doubt he was the popular choice. Look at the box office and movie reviews of Bodygaurd and then compare it to Don 2. I would say Don 2 can never even came close. This is petty politics,” he said.

Let’s see how Salman Khan will respond to the situation.
