For some players it is difficult to distinguish whether they are in a Hollywood movie or the real world. If not, just ask Mark Wahlberg, 40, used to the tough-guy roles, and who now has taken to speculate about the story in cinematic terms.
Recently, the star of The Wrestler and The Departed has had to apologize for saying that he alone, with his fists, could have prevented one of the 11-S planes crashing into the Twin Towers.
In an interview in the February issue of the magazine Men’s Journal, Wahlberg said that he would have certainly put up a fight had he been on the plane which crashed into the twin towers: “If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like
it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’
Soon, Wahlberg realized the immense embarrassment caused by his statement and issued and issued a verbal apology while speaking to TMZ recently .
“To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible.” In his chat with TMZ he admitted he crossed the line, “To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with. I deeply apologize to the families
of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention.”
Wahlberg was at age 13 addicted to cocaine, according to his biographers. Three years later he pleaded guilty to attempted murder. Wonder he is all so regretful now.
