Kareena Kapoor hits back at the critics

Bollywood’s diva, Kareena Kapoor, was recently awarded for being the most profitable actress in Bollywood but critics had other bones to pick. They believe the reason behind Kareena’s success is that she always chose films with superstars. Therefore, the actress has finally spoken out.

Kareena did two movies last year, ‘Ra.One’ and ‘Bodyguard’, which did an exceptional business at the Box Office. In ‘Ra.One’ she played a lead role opposite to the King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan whereas in ‘Bodyguard’ she played opposite to Salman Khan. Her previous exceptionally hit films like ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘3 Idiots’ also had superstars like Mithun Chakraborty, Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan. However, the actress reckons she has earned herself all this.

In the meantime Kareena mentioned Hollywood’s superstar Angelina Jolie, when she was being quizzed by Sunny Malik

While speaking on her inclusion, she said: “If I wasn’t doing these big films, then what am I supposed to do? Angelina Jolie also acts in the biggest films in Hollywood because she is the biggest star. If you are offered a film like Ra.One, Agent Vinod, Bodyguard or Talaash it’s obvious that some people feel that why has it all gone to her.”

Kareena, who for her magnificent performance in ‘Refugee’ (2000) won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, insisted critics always say something as it is their job but she never gets bothered. The 31-year-old in the end stressed she is just enjoying her success now.

“Besides that, my route to success started way back with Jab We Met, I mean Imtiaz was a new director. I took up a film that nobody would have done, or Chameli for that matter. I don’t think anyone would take up a film like that so early in their career. Now, I am just enjoying where I am.”

Kareena Kapoor will be seen in four movies this year, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’,’ Agent Vinod’, ‘Talaash’ and ‘Heroine’. Let’s see if these movies also do a good business at the Box Office.
