Hrithik Roshan doesn’t want any comparisons with Amitabh Bachchan – Agneepath

Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan, is going to be seen playing a lead role in one of the most-eagerly awaited films of this year ‘Agneepath’, which is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1990 cult classic of the same name. Therefore, people are anxiously waiting for the movie because perhaps they want to see how Hrithik will beat Mr. Bachchan’s performance.

However, the 38-year-old actor, who earned a Best Actor and Best Male Debut award for playing a lead role in his first film ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, doesn’t want people to compare him with the legendary role of ‘Vijay Deenanath Chauhan’, which was played by Mr. Bachchan.

Hrithik told the media the new ‘Agneepath’ has a very simple Vijay in it and it can never be compared with the original character, which showed a man with a baritone and towering personality.

“The moment you see my Vijay, the comparison will go away. People will come to see Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, but when they will look at me, they will think he doesn’t look like Vijay, he is nothing like Vijay. He is nobody, he doesn’t have a style, he doesn’t have that swagger…that walk, not even the voice,” Hrithik said in an interview.

“This Vijay was not Vijay Deenanath Chauhan. He is a simple man. They will have to see the film keeping me in mind,” he said.

“If during the shoot I had comparisons in my mind, then I would be scared. So your individual way has to stand apart from anything else,” he said.

Along with Hrithik Roshan ‘Agneepath’, which will hit the cinemas worldwide on this Friday, will feature former Miss. World, Priyanka Chopra, playing a role opposite to Hrithik whereas Sunjay Dutt, who is known best for playing negative roles, will play ‘Kancha Cheena’ in the movie.

Thus far Bollywood has not been able to entertain audiences with the remakes yet experts in the industry are expecting a lot from this movie and the reason behind is the cast. Anyways, let’s see if the movie really lives up to the expectations.
