Sunjay Dutt says no one is trying to overshadow anyone in ‘Agneepath’

Bollywood superstar, Sunjay Dutt, is known best for playing negative roles but it has been a while since he has not been seen playing a negative role on the big screen. However, the 52-year-old actor is now making a comeback with ‘Kancha Cheena’ in Karan Malhotra’s much-anticipated upcoming movie ‘Agneepath’, which is the remake of the 1990 Hindi film of the same name.

Sunjay’s appearance in the film has probably made ‘Agneepath’ one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year and many out there believe he will overshadow the original character ‘Kancha Cheena’, which was played by Danny Denzongpa. Therefore, Dutt has spoken out to the public. He said no one in ‘Agneepath’ has tried to overshadow anyone and there is no competition.

“We are not here to overshadow anybody, we have been very comfortable during the film. This film has been made without egos and it is not about competition. Hrithik is fantastic in the film,” Sanjay told reporters on Monday.

In the meantime, Hrithik Roshan, who will play Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s legendary role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, commended Sunjay Dutt for his acting skills. Hrithik stated Sunjay deserves all the appericiation for his acting skills because he can do both funny and negative roles in an excellent way.

“First of all you have to give credit to the talent (Sanjay), I think it is a very rare thing that in one role he projects epitome of goodness in ‘Munnabhai’, then does something extremely negative like Kancha Cheena and still blows your mind away,” said Hrithik.

“As an actor my job is not to compete against talent that great, but my only duty is to be honest to my character,” he added.

‘Agneepath’ will also feature the likes of former Miss. World Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor playing major roles in it and it will be released on this Friday in the cinemas worldwide.

Nevertheless, all left to see is whether if the movie will provide audiences what they want or not.
