Which is better: Motorola Droid Razr or Samsung Galaxy Nexus?

The most hotly anticipated smart phone of the year goes head-to-head with Motorola’s labour of love in Newspakistan’s review of the two.

Motorola churned out the Droid Razr last year and it captured the imagination of the public, with it’s beautiful design and intelligent use of Google’s Android operating system. The phone itself has a sleek design and is only 5.14 inches long and 2.71 inches
wide. It’s also 0.28 inch thick and weighs a paltry 4.5 ounces.

It’s competitor isn’t a laughing stock either with 0.37 inch thickness but a 5 ounce weight. But what the Nexus lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in its features and operating system.

Nexus is the first smart phone on the market to utilize the new version of Android, the Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s comes with an array of new features, which not only allow you to change the size of the icons on the home page but also allows you to unlock
the phone through facial recognition.

The Droid Razr boasts the 2.3 Android version, but Motorola have revealed that the phone will get an Ice Cream Sandwich update this year.

When comes down to the screen, both boast a Super Amoled screen, but the Nexus is a little bigger than its counterpart with 4.65 inches to the Razr’s 4.3.

On the camera side of things, the Droid Razr slightly edges out the competition with an 8-mega pixel on board, compared to the 5-megapixel one available on the Galaxy Nexus.

However one thing which can separate both the phones is that the Droid Razr has Motoblur pre-installed, while the Galaxy Prime is an untouched and unaltered version of Android. When it comes down to choosing between the phones, Nexus has a slight advantage,
as it is the first set with Ice Cream Sandwich, which gives it an edge.

That edge, however, will be fizzed out when the Droid Razr gets an update, after which it should overtake the Nexus as the better phone.
