‘Agneepath’ takes Indian box office by storm

Karan Malhotra’s action thriller film ‘Agneepath’, which is a remake of the 1990 cult classic of the same name, was released in the cinemas yesterday and the movie had absolutely incredible opening day numbers.

Cinemas all over the country remained fully packed as a result to which the film collected an amount of over 21 crore on the opening day. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’, which was released last year holds a record of the highest single day collection ever of 23 crore on its second day but now it looks as if this record is going to be broken.

‘Agneepath’ featured Hrithik Roshan as Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, Sunjay Dutt as Kancha Cheena, Rishi Kapoor as Rauf Lala and Priyanka Chopra as Kaali Gawde and all the characters have garnered excellent reviews from the audiences.

Meanwhile, director Karan Malhotra has been appreciated a lot for doing a magnificent job in his very first film.

Fans have liked all the characters in the movie but Sunjay Dutt and Hrithik Roshan were especially mentioned by everybody for their brilliant performance.

Audiences have expressed their feelings on Twitter and here are some of the tweets from them.

Amitabh Bachchan won a National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of the character ‘Vijay Deenanath Chauhan’ in the original ‘Agneepath’.

However, keeping the highly positive reviews from the critics in front, it is fair to say that someone out of Hrithik, Sunjay, Rishi or Priyanka will also win an award next year.
