The pound-for-pound kings, Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao, are making a lot of headlines these days since they are finally expected to meet each other in the ring. However, the fight has not been made as of yet because Mayweather Jnr doesn’t want a 50/50 split with the Filipino star, as he thinks he is the biggest draw in the sport.
This news shocked many out there but as per the recent reports, it appears as if the eight-division world champion, Pacquiao, earns a lot less than the undefeated American legend, Mayweather Jnr?
John Chavez of TheBoxingTruth.com has recently acquired reports from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which show that Mayweather Jnr, over the past 6 years, has earned almost double than Manny Pacquiao even when he has fought less.
The below mentioned numbers have been taken from the official reports, which are public record. Moreover, they have been verified by the Executive Director Keith Kizer.
Manny Pacquiao
11-12-11 – vs. Juan Manuel Marquez – US$6,000,000 *

11-18-06 – vs. Erik Morales – US$3,000,000
01-21-06 – vs. Erik Morales – US$2,000.000
TOTAL = US$46,400,000
Note: These stats are not mentioned on NSAC documents but they have been confirmed by Dan Rafael of ESPN.com.
Floyd Mayweather Jnr
09-17-11 – vs. Victor Ortiz – US$25,000,000
05-01-10 – vs. Shane Mosley – US$22,500,000

11-04-06 – vs. Carlos Baldomir – US$8,000,001
04-08-06 – vs. Zab Judah – US$5,000,000
TOTAL = US$91,500,001
The stats of Manny Pacquiao don’t include his fights with Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito since they were out of NSAC’s jurisdiction. Nevertheless, he could have not beaten Mayweather even if these two fights were included.
Well, all said and done, if these reports are true than Floyd Mayweather Jnr certainly has a valid point.

THe figures are meant to deceive the ignorant majority of Floyd’s fans. The figures which were released by NSAC refers to the first payment that is a mandated requirement from the promoter. the rest of the income must be given within 2 months when all the proceeds have been collected. Why don’t you get the figures of NSAC for Floyd at fightnight?
Floydiots will do anything to put Pacquiao down. But the more they do it, the more he gets accolades from US based organizations and multinational companies. That’s the problem with self-declared prominence, it’s just like a house of card.
Forbes and Bloomberg do not make mistakes in assessing income of people, otherwise, their reputation will be tarnished. Besides, what reason would they have to pad Pacquiao’s income? Duh????
If what you guys say is true then someone is lying and it’s either the NSAC or Arum. My guess is Arum.
Theodore, No one is lying but the article is misleading. The NSAC figure is accurate. What they didn’t say is that the NSAC figure is just a mandated guarantee payment for the fighters before any fight. The balance is given after the promoters have collected the revenues and they are given 60 days to remit the difference to the boxer. Hence, if you look into NSAC’s record, all boxers including Floyd will reflect a lower figure because, as I said, it is just a mandated guaranteed payment required by NSAC to protect the fighters from being gyped. The article is a malicious attempt to mislead people, this is so lame…..
@Alex… Rightly said I should have mentioned it but didn’t because there were no revelations made about how much Manny got. Anyways, in my new article I have mentioned he got over $22 million for Manuel fight because Bob Arum disclosed has now disclosed it. Didn’t mean to mislead anyone.
@ Imran Shaukat Khan:
Good article, despite discrepancies.
If they were low for PacMan , they are even lower for Mayweather , who probably gets more on the back end , than any other fighter has in history.
They don’t call it May Per view for nothing.
Business wise? Floyd may have the edge , due to experience. Dad & Uncle were championship fighters. That is 2 world champion fighters to learn from their mistakes.
Mayweather / Cotto = Better @ Garden , weekend of Puerto Rican Day Parade.
( Crowd wise , not $$$ wise )
May – Per View? $60? ( $59.95+Tax )
Cotto only’s chance is to try break Floyd’s right hand , with his chin, every time Floyd throws an uppercut…..& he will throw many.
If Floyd jabs , that’s all she wrote!
PacMan might be able to out swing Floyd , but I doubt he can out punch him , in the sense that Floyd has excellent defensive & countering skills.
I thought Mosley came close to KO’ing Floyd in 2nd RD , because Floyd chose to trade with him.
Fight Prediction = Floyd can out box Manny. ( Leonard / Hagler ) / ( Leonard / Hearns + ) ***Leonard Duran*** = 1 or 2 ….is up to Floyd!
PEACE!
@EDOGZ818… Thanks … In my opinion Floyd’s gonna win… he is bigger, he is the best counter-puncher, he has an excellent defense and he is good when it comes to fighting in the ring… and manny likes to exchange and fight toe-to-toe. this will benefit mayweather, he is smart.. above all against mosley he showed us he can also take a punch…. In my opinion his fitness level is also very good…
