England’s spinner Monty Panesar is confident his side can bounce back in the final Test of the three match series against Pakistan in Dubai.
Pakistan have already won the series by winning the opening two games comprehensively and will be eying a whitewash against the number one Test side in the world.
However, the tourists will be looking to win the last match for their pride and gain momentum before the One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 series.
Panesar praised the effort of Pakistan, team which seemed to have no direction after the controversial tour of England in 2010.
According to the 29-year-old spinner, "Pakistan played very well at a critical stage of the match. We played good cricket throughout the Test but it was just the last innings where they performed really well. We’re hurting and we’re determined to come
back in the next Test. The boys are still upbeat and looking forward to the third Test."
He went onto say, "Playing in these conditions is different from English conditions and we all want to grow and learn and become better at coping. Playing in the subcontinent is exciting. We have Tests in Sri Lanka and India coming
up so the opportunity to play two spinners is exciting for me and I enjoy playing under the leadership of (Andrew) Straussy and Andy (Flower)."
The Poms have been performing exceptionally well over the past four years and they seemed to be unmatchable, especially in the longest version of the game. They were expected to remain dominant the Men in Green in the United Arab
Emirates (UAE), but things did not turn out well for them.
Misbah-ul-Haq and his men seemed to have a very good plan to counter the opposition, which was stunned in the series opener by a 10 wicket defeat.
Andrew Strauss backed his side to bounce back in the Abu dhabi Test and the players responded well, pressurising the hosts for the first three and a hald days.
However, Pakistan showed strong nerves and won the Test by playing better cricket in just two sessions of the match.
The final Test of the series will be played in Dubai between February 3-7, 2012.
