Altaf advises citizens to take their own security measures
London: (Tuesday, January 31, 2012) Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain today said that Karachi’s peace was being disrupted under a planned plot, and the only way for the citizens to keep themselves safe was to take
their security measures at their own as the government had failed to protect their life and property.
According to the statement released by MQM, Hussain, while addressing the Rabta Committee meeting said that he had always tried to aware the nation of the threats during last few days that Karachi, the political and economic hub
of the country, was being handed over to the armed terrorists under a planned strategy.
To him, the only way for the citizens to protect their lives and property was to come out for protecting their streets, markets, shops from the armed assailants and terrorists.
The MQM chief asserted in his address: “Form area-wise vigilance committees; put in place a chowkidari system, have alarms installed in every street and market so that the criminals could be held and handed over to local police
and administration.”
