The American people are ready for a change and the time is ripe as well since nearly four years of unfulfilled promises have led the hard working citizens of the United States of America to their breaking point.
With 2012 being election year, Americans all over the nation are finding it tough on selecting the perfect candidate that actually might be able to get them out of their current crisis, be it financial, military related, internal problems and even the international
mess.
The candidate that will be declared successful definitely will be facing some major obstacles, some of the biggest in history of the country and if they are able to overcome the issues, seeing their name go down in future narration would not be surprising.
President Barack Obama was elected with a bright ray of hope by the people back in 2008 and with the slogan of “Yes We Can”, people saw a better future with him as their leader. Being the first African-American President was also another reason people were
flustered with optimism, only to be disappointed.
Disappointment can not only be regarded as President Obama not being able to show drastic results in the first few years, but the word is to define the total condition of the state as both parties, the Democrats and Republicans, fight against each other
to the point of disregarding any good move by the federation.
When Obama wanted to introduce the health bill, it failed to pass through lawmakers solely based on party opposition instead of actually focus on issues faced by the common man.
Mitt Romney, a potential Republican candidate for the Presidential race, seems to be the strongest opposition that President Obama will face during the elections.
Being the Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney seems like one of those politicians who have the perfect American background to run for President while some people have already begun comparing him with former President George W. Bush.
Romney has changed from nearly four years ago when he was not that interested in running for President, but now with a potential party ticket, he seems more confident and well prepared in order to takedown President Obama.
Looking at Romney’s background, being a Mormon might be something the American people are against due to their conservative nature about their religion and their feeling the need to preserve it but on another note, much of the general public would not mind
welcoming a more open-minded candidate.
Recently, issues arose about how much money Mitt Romney actually has and whether he pays proper tax or not, bringing the candidate under fire and barely able to escape the wealth card played by the opposition.
Having gone to an Ivy League school and an upbringing as the son of a governor, most people might not be able to relate with Mitt Romney as they see a more working call man in Barack Obama.
The polls are not that far away and anything could happen as President Obama continues to fight to tackle national issues while trying to save his seat for another term as well, but with Mitt Romney getting stronger day by day, there is no telling what might
happen.
