Islamabad: (Tuesday, January 31, 2012) Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the prices of all POL products, culminating in making petrol expensive by a staggering Rs 5.37 per liter. As per the announcement made
by OGRA, petrol will now sell at Rs 94.91 per liter.
According to the notification issued by the regulatory authority, the new prices will come into effect from Tuesday midnight (February 1).
With the upward change in prices, Diesel will now be costlier by Rs 4.46, reaching up to Rs 103.46 per liter, while Light Diesel has gone up by Rs 3.43, selling now at Rs 90.21 per liter.
The new price of HOBC, after an increase of Rs 6.29, will now stand at Rs 118.20 per liter, while Kerosene, after witnessing a price hike of Rs 2.76, will now sell at 90.02.
With the current rise in POL prices, OGRA has hiked the prices of petroleum products second time in one month. The high ups at Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority have attributed the present increase in POL prices to the increasing
oil prices in the international markets.
