Street political meetings and anti-Imran rhetoric

Truth is always frightening as it has potential to outdo lie. When a daredevil picks up courage to speak truth, the liars make every possible face-saving conspiracy to prove that person wrong. The same is happening between Imran Khan and the supports of
Pakistan’s traditional politics.

Every san individual is well aware of the fact that Khan is now a worthy opponent of all other political parties of the state with Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) at the top. Some neutral political analysts have event started
predicting that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will galvanise a clean sweep in the next general elections. Almost 99 percent of the country’s educated class is backing Khan. In this situation, the henchmen of PML (N) and the PPP are hell-bent to outpour as
much venom against Khan as they can in a bid to make the ignorant people realise that the PTI is not going to be a good option.

The focal point of the anti-PTI propagandists is Imran’s love marriage with a non-Muslim British woman and subsequent separation of the couple. They claim that how a person with such character can be sincere with the nation. This is all bullshit. There is
no link between Khan’s personal life and his politics. Have the critics ever bothered to think what their leaders do when they are on foreign tours.

This trend is common in street political meetings of rural areas where Pakistan Television (PTV) is already actively lampooning Khan and the PTI. The uneducated inhabitants of our villages are always ready to believe whatever is penetrated into their narrow
minds. It is deplorable to note that majority of the rural people have come to believe that Khan will ‘sell the nation to America after getting into power’. What a nonsense this is?

This scenario is horrible. If it persists, the rotten traditional politicians will again manage to get mandates. The only remedy to stop this mayhem is khan’s personal visits to all the rural areas of Pakistan and public addresses. This needs to be done
as soon as possible. If the only torchbearer of change fails to save the villagers from falling into the traps of the corrupt leaders, the whole nation will be destined to suffer forever. Now or never.
