Priyanka Chopra is all praises for Vidya Balan

Former Miss. World, Priyanka Chopra, who is also known as Piggy Chops, has commended Vidya Balan for her great dedication towards the Bollywood industry. Balan was Priyanka’s competitor since they were both nominated in the Best Actress category at the Zee Cine Awards 2012. However, it all ended on a good, as Priyanka and Balan both won an award.

Vidya Balan won the Best Actress award for her magnificent performance in Milan Luthria’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ whereas Priyanka won the same award for doing a classy job in the film ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and now both actresses are all praises for each other.

‘The Dirty Picture’ is based on the lifestyle of a late southern sex icon Silk Smitha and therefore Balan was told to gain weight, almost 15 kgs, and Chopra reckons no one in the industry would have agreed to gain this much wait except Balan.

An ecstatic Priyanka commented, “Vidya was great in ‘The Dirty Picture’. Very few actresses have the courage to gain about 15 kgs for a role! You know how the industry works. Actresses are extremely conscious about their weight. I could manage only 3-4kgs for 7 khoon maaf. My problem is I cannot gain weight. Vidya on the contrary has done it.”

During the 57^th Idea Filmfare awards, Priyanka imitated Vidya Balan in a funny way due to which many headlines were made. Nevertheless, Priyanka has now clarified that all is well between Balan and her.

On her recent spoof on Vidya Balan at Zee Cine Awards Priyanka clarified, “Vidya takes it in a good spirit. I wore a fat suit to imitate her. After the act she herself told me how funny it looked. She wasn’t offended at all. She is extremely sporting.”

Vidya Balan, who will now be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film ‘Kahaani’, has also been seen admiring Priyanka Chopra’s work on several occasions, which makes it obvious that both stars have nothing against each other.
