Enslaved by one’s fate

Why does one keep waiting for something to happen even when he is cent percent sure that fate has something else planned for him? It is so hard to let go of something that had begun to serve as the very reason of your existence. One simply cannot understand
why the design of life is such that it allows you to develop affection for something that was never meant to form an equation with you. There is hardly anything that enables us to understand why our mind is allowed complete freedom while our fate is bound
in chains, totally out of our reach.
For a person who wants nothing more than a mind that is not a slave of his heart, there is hardly any way to attain deliverance. The person finds himself getting pushed into depression, becoming isolated and getting lost. There are very few who are capable
of understanding what this person is going through, though they clearly see the shadows on his face. A heavy cloud hovering above his head makes him forget all about the brightness in life and fills him up with hopelessness.
While the person suffers and struggles to hold his own in the demanding circumstances, others are merely breezing through their life. It is this very sight that fuels the temper of the person as he looks up towards the heavens with just one question in his
mind: why is being tested while others are getting blessed?
The answer to this question is not given generously and thus a person keeps wondering why he was chosen to be put in a trial. There are so many bad people in the world who deserve a severe punish and yet they seem to be getting things without making an effort.
On the other hand, people who are pious and turn to God whenever things are out of their control remain empty handed, holding on to a mere hope that things will improve for them one day.
Hope may help to sooth a person for a while, but if one keeps getting tested for too long, then he eventually ends up turning away from everyone and everything, even God.
