In July last year Daniel Radcliffe was greeted by a huge crowd in Trafalgar Square in central London, where he conducted the premiere of the latest installment of the Harry Potter and each of his words was greeted with an ovation. The 22-year-old but now
has concluded, with the role that made him a multimillionaire and decided to continue his film career, that he must find a way to reinvent himself.
That is precisely what he intends with The Woman in Black, the horror flick, that now reaches the billboards in South Florida, in which he plays a young lawyer who arrives in a remote village to take over the administration of an estate in a house that may
or may not be haunted.
Radcliffe admits that the proposal to star in the film came before he could go find the paper that would transform his image. "I ended the last day of filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and two hours later, I was reading the script on the plane
going to Los Angeles," he says, adding that the experience was definitely a revelation to him.
"I feel I learned more from James Watkins, our director in this film, at 12 weeks of filming, with all directors of Harry Potter. Not because they are better or worse, but because in the Harry Potter franchise, machinery was so big and so massive that the
operation made it very difficult to see all the individual aspects of the story. In contrast to The Woman in Black, I became more involved from start to finish and stayed there all day. "
