Islamabad: (Wednesday, February 08, 2012) with the dismal governance breaking records of deterioration, corruption and mismanagement, the whole country stood protesting today.
According to news, the capital of Balochistan, Quetta observed protestors clamouring over Pakistan Railways anti-encroachment operation, while Lahore, the capital and largest city of Punjab recorded its displeasure with the shifting
of transporters’ terminal. In Quetta, the state did not hesitate in rendering a thrashing to the rebels for reclaiming its illegally occupied land.
In Faisalabad, the industrial hub of Lahore, people mourned yet another day for low gas pressure and the consequent closure of factories. In Karachi, the Industrial capital of Pakistan, these were the firefighters who took to streets
to record their protest against denial of overtime by the government.
In Faisalabad, protestors from Chak Jhumra, turned violent and tried to stop Pakistan Express, tore apart a political party’s banners and set fire here and there.
In Islamabad, these were the PEPCO employees who staged a sit-in before the parliament House and to mark their sheer displeasure and disapproval of government’s plans to privatize PEPCO.
