Disturbed’s bassist John Moyer joins Adrenaline Mob
Thursday, February 9th, 2012 5:57:38 by Haris AnsariAdrenaline Mob, a super heavy metal band, has announced that Disturbed’s John Moyer will replace Paul DiLeo as their new bassist.
DiLeo and Rich Ward bid farewell to the band, which features former Dream Theater’s drummer Mike Portnoy along with guitarist Mike Orlando and Symphony X’s vocalist Russel Allen, earlier this year due to their prior commitments with Stuck Mojo.
The band was looking for the replacement before the release of their debut album in March, and now have officially confirmed the addition of Disturbed’s bass guitarist.
Moyer revealed after joining the band that he cannot wait to hit the road with his new band.
“Mike Portnoy called me about auditioning for his new band Adrenaline Mob. He had heard through the grapevine that I was looking to stay busy while Disturbed is on hiatus. After jamming with Russ, MO, and Portnoy, the chemistry as musicians was undeniable”
“I am super stoked about joining ‘The Family’ and I can’t wait to hit the road with these guys and see what kind of musical mayhem we can create!”, Moyer said.
Adrenaline Mob are set to release their debut album ‘Omerta’ on March 13. Moyer is expected to make his onstage debut with the band in New York City at Hiro Ballroom on the album launch party on March 12.
