Imran Khan vows to end drone attacks

Cricketer turned politician and the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insad (PTI), Imran Khan has vowed to end drone attacks in the country if and when his party comes to power. He also slammed the present government of Pakistan for their disastrous policies
and corruption.

Pakistan is currently facing a number of challenges at the domestic as well as international front. Most of Pakistan’s problems are the side-effects of the so-called war against terrorism.

Drone attacks in Pakistan started in 2006 and since then, a huge number of people have been killed, including innocent children and women. These attacks are a violation of human rights in every sense of imagination but the US is carrying on with this policy,
which is turning out to be counter-productive against extremism.

Imran has always taken a stance against the drone attacks and has led a number of processions against this injustice. The cricketer turned politician believes that Pakistan should be a completely independent state and claims that he will not take any dictation
from any super power of the world.

While talking about the upcoming elections, Imran is confident that his party will sweep through the elections and no other party can match the popularity of PTI.

Chairman PTI said, “Tehreek-e-Insaf cannot be defeated even if all the political parties jointly contest against it. Nobody can withstand the Tsunami of Tehreek-e-Insaf. I will end drone attacks. Pakistan will not bow to the whims of Western powers.”

Imran also raised his concern about the ever increasing poverty in Pakistan and feels that it is about time that the rulers start to work for the prosperity of the masses.

“A huge responsibility lies on the shoulders of PTI workers. All eyes are on the us and as we promised change, we shall bring it. Some seventy million people of live below the poverty line, which means they’re fighting for basic survival whereas single person
in the government enjoys a luxurious lifestyle,” he expressed.

The politician further added that the whole machinery of the government is working to save the corruption of Asif Ali Zardari, instead of working for the betterment of the country.

Imran alleged, “The whole drama of contempt of court was being played to safeguard President Asif Ali Zardari’s corruption.”
