What can be expected of the new iPad launching in March

The new iPad launch is expected to fall somewhere in March, speculated on the basis of the history of launches of Apple’s signature tablet.

Over the last two years, the tablet has gained a serious reputation in the market from the public, which does not want a laptop to read books and browse web on the go or even at home. The likes of iPad and Asus’ Transformer Prime also offer the users powerful processors, quad-core in case of Transformer, that have the capability of playing graphic intensive games and other applications like image editors.

The lack of a physical keyboard has been solved by third party hardware manufacturers like Zagg, who produce docks and Bluetooth keyboards for the users who depend on words for living.

However, the iPad has lacked a number of features in the last two editions it has launched in 2010 and 2011. Especially, after the launch of iPhone 4S, the expectations have beefed up on the upgrades in the iPad 3 or whatever the company names it, like iPad 2S.

The introduction of a full 1080p HD camera on the rear side of iPhone 4S is also anticipated to arrive in iPad 3. The front facing camera is also expected to have HD qualities.

The iPad line is only family in Apple’s portfolio that has not embraced Retina Display. This is also expected to arrive in the latest edition this year. On the other hand, the addition of RD will certainly compromise thickness of the tablet.

Apple has always been curious about the thickness of its products. The iPad 3 is not going to be an exception. Word on the street has been that iPad 3 has received a thinner but powerful battery that will justify the depth of the slate.

However, this is all guesswork at best and the real thing will be assured at the launch of the new iPad somewhere in March. What everyone is hoping is that the new tablet would not disappoint the users like the 4S did in some aspects.
