Top 3 games to play on Valentine’s Day and why
Tuesday, February 14th, 2012 5:17:13 by Musa AfridiIt is the 14th of February and there is romance in the air but it is also the perfect time to get your significant other into playing video games.
Chocolates, teddy bears and flowers are what Valentine’s Day is all about, but if one is a gamer, the day tends to provide a distraction from what is really important: playing video games.
So the hard gaming men and women here have come up with three games that will not only help you spend the perfect Valentine’s day with the love of your life but may also very well get her into gaming.
Dead Space 2 (or 1)
Planning on taking her to watch a horror movie? Well don’t, because that has become so clichéd that she might not appreciate the lack of originality or thought. Instead, put Dead Space 2 into the disc tray of your console and hand her the controller.
Why: The first sequence will is romantic enough for her to get into the story and relate to the main character. The scene that follows is sure to have her screaming, terrified and looking for something to hug.
Luckily for you, you’d be right next to her, perfectly placed to give her comfort. That is if she doesn’t slap you for making her play the game in the first place.
LittleBigPlanet
Ever wanted to slap your significant other without the consequences? Yeah, we thought you did and so we present LittleBigPlanet where slapping is guilt free and fun for both of you.
Why: simple, the game is fun, accessible and easy to get addicted to. People with zero gaming experience will find the entire LittleBigPlanet experience a blast.
Plus, for bonus points, you can let her dress your character up as well.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves or Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
If one does not want to share the gaming experience and wants a reason to play a shooter without feeling guilty of not giving their partner any attention then Uncharted is the perfect game.
Why: the fact of the matter is that the games are more of a movie, with a storyline so thick with twists and turns that it has more drama than the regular soaps on television. Just try not to die though as that would raise her suspicions
as to how the lead character died and came back to life.
Oh wait, that happens in almost every soap.
So there you have it, three games to ensure that you do not spend any time apart from the true love of your life and no we don’t mean her, we mean your video game console. True love.
