Applications like Family Story will keep photos of all household members, Fitness and Weight will track sports and Kids will offer parental controls for children and adolescents’ viewership. Another feature, facial recognition, will detect children from seeing inappropriate content if the parents decide as such.
The company also unveiled ultrabooks—the genre of lightweight laptops—moderately priced with outstanding potency and completely renewed range. The Series 9 is thinner than the previous line and has a uni-body casing with backlit keyboard. It is beautiful, elegant and boots Windows 7 in few seconds. The battery holds up to 10 hours, but is still less than the benchmark set by MacBook Air.
In spring, a new range of compact cameras land in Europe with more stress on WB850F, a compact camera with optical zoom of 21X and touch screen. It has an interesting application for mobile phones which can be used to make group portraits. Leave the camera and flash supported mobile targets, about, manage and check out all the friends in the frame.
Unusual for this kind of presentation, the company did not unveil the price of any product. Samsung is the most earning company in technology world with a total value of $143 Billion, above, Lenovo, HP and Apple. After conquering the consumer market, they want to become a company that serves other businesses. Uitack Kim, President of Samsung Electronics Iberia, insists on this line: “We also want to be an engine for business and become solution providers in services sectors as banking, insurance, education …”.
