Sony has incorporated a new style of gaming in the Vita. In addition to installing the games from PCs and Macs, the users can now purchase Vita-oriented games that are pre-installed on chips that give a look of SD cards. The slot for the chip is at the top of the console.
Sony has made the console even more interactive by adding a microphone and two digital mega-pixel cameras on both front and rear ends. The user can now communicate with others on the same platform and server while playing the same game.
In addition to games, the device also has a number of other features like web applications and browser. More apps will be pouring in for the PSV in not-so-distant future. For now, the gamers can enjoy the free ride to the world of internet with a browser, can use social networking applications like Facebook and Twitter.
The battery life is comparatively better than predecessor. Vita gives full four hours of battery life on continuous gaming while it stretches more on music and video playback.
The company recommends installing a memory card in the device but it only accepts Sony issued SD cards and they are overpriced. With a 4GB card, PSV’s price soars up to $300. 32GB card is available for a whopping $100.
USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi come as a standard feature in the device but the user can also opt for a 3G version that asks additional $50. However, that is a bargain that the user might be willing to take.
