Saturday, February 18th, 2012 5:42:48 by Imran Shaukat KhanThere were a lot of rumours revolving around that perhaps the ultimate diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, is planning to follow the footsteps of her late grandfather Raj Kapoor by turning a director. However, Karan Johar has confirmed it now that Kareena has no such plans on her mind.
The director, producer, screenwriter and Television host, Karan Johar, while speaking about the news laughed and said Kareena is a wonderful actress and she is happy the way she is. Johar remarked Kareena is too beautiful to be a director.
Karan said, “No, that’s not true at all. As everyone knows, Kareena is a great actor and all she should ever do is act. Honestly speaking, I don’t think I will ever lumber the job of a director on her. She is too beautiful for that.”
“I am happy to see that she is being praised for her performance.”
Karan Johar is having a high time these days, as he is setting the cash registers ringing. He gave Bollywood one of the biggest hits in the form of ‘Agneepath’, which is a remake of the 1990 cult classic of the same name, and his second release of this year ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ has also been liked by the audiences.
Though ‘Ek Main Aur Tu’ has not been able to do as much business as ‘Agneepath’, Karan is happy with the response he is getting from the audiences.
He added, “The movie has an unconventional feel and treatment, but yet, it was loved by the audiences.
‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, which was released on February 10, 2012, featured Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan in the lead roles and according to rumour mill, Karan is looking forward to cast both stars in another film. Therefore, the 39-year-old producer was asked about it too.
Karan remarked, “I would love to. Their pairing has been accepted and people have loved them. So who knows, very soon, we’ll have a film with both of them again.”
Kareena Kapoor will now be seen with her beau Saif Ali Khan in their upcoming movie ‘Agent Vinod’, which is scheduled to hit the cinemas on March 23, 2012.
