Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 5:46:51 by Imran Shaukat KhanThe Indian actor Saif Ali Khan is in deep trouble, as Mumbai police has registered a case against him for assaulting a businessman in a restaurant. As per the reports, the case has been booked under section 325 and it is being investigated by the Colaba police station.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night at the Taj Palace in Colaba, Mumbai when the 41-year-old actor got into an argument with a businessman called Iqbal Sharma and later on punched him in the face.
If sources are to be believed then Saif went Taj Palace with his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and some other friends. Reportedly, Saif was having fun with his friends and Kareena as a result to which there was a lot of noise coming from their table. However, the argument started when Iqbal, who was also having dinner with her family, complained that he is getting disturbed by the noise coming from Saif’s table.
Some of the rumours revolving in the air suggest that the scuffle actually took place between Amrita Arora Ladak’s husband Shakeel Ladak but later on Saif also came in and gave Iqbal a punch in the nose.
Though Saif Ali Khan has not been arrested as of yet, the police has said that they will issue an arrest warrant against him, if he will not cooperate.
“A team of officers has gone to Saif’s residence for further investigations and the further course will be decided later,” Assistant Commissioner of Police Iqbal Shaikh of the Colaba region, which lodged the complaint, told IANS.
“We have summoned Saif to come and meet us. If he does not cooperate, we may issue an arrest warrant against him later,” said the police.
Well, this is not the first time a case has been registered against Saif, as the actor previously assaulted a photojournalist in Patiala during the shooting of a film. Nevertheless, Saif afterwards apologised and the case was resolved.
Currently, Sai f Ali Khan is busy in promoting his upcoming film ‘Agent Vinod’, which is scheduled to hit the cinemas on March 23, 2012.
