To the Point – Shortcomings of the Baloch Nationalists

Balochistan, the biggest province of Pakistan, has unfortunately faced numerous problems and issues since the separation of united India back in 1947, but nowadays for some apparent reason, it seems like the situation has reached new peaks with countries
announcing their support for a free and independent Balochistan.
The idea of provinces wanting to separate is nothing new to this world as it has rather become tradition overtime. The people of Pakistan should not be surprised as such separation and nationalism movements.
We can see a prime example in a first world country like Canada, in which Quebec also demanded to be declared a separate nation due to their cultural and language based differences but in the end, the idea has now died down due to the idea being illogical.
Even during the separation of India, many tribal leaders and landlords were of the view of having their own dominions, to rule independently and without a government watching over their heads, but it all came down to joining either one of the two nations.
Modern Baloch nationalism certainly does exist, but how much influence it really has and whether it is what the people want is a different question.
Firstly, there are relatively more Pakthun living in Balochistan than there actually are “Balochi” and instead of terming themselves a part of Pakistan, having a closed minded approach since the beginning has been a major cause to what they demand today.
Yes, many governments have failed to adequately address the issues of the Balochi people, but in the end, are there not problems throughout the country which is facing one of its hardest times since creation?
The area of Balochistan is a very vulnerable region strategically for many surrounding countries and even the United States of America, which seems to have its nose stuck everywhere nowadays.
The self-proclaimed Balochi leaders like the Bugti’s and such have clearly never done anything productive for their people. Instead, they suppress them like their personal slave force, create their own armies, frown upon the concept of education for all,
fight against their own militaries and live happily here while their children roam around in their fleet of cars in posh areas of Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.
When the Balochi leaders have never shown sympathy for their own people besides fighting for their personal interests to overtake government rule and impose their own reign, what do they expect from the state?
Balochistan is definitely an integral part of which Pakistan cannot be complete without and it is definitely safe to say that neither the people of that province nor any other like Punjab, KP or Sindh, want it to be separated at any cost except for the traitors
and rebellions that have always stood with foreign powers against their own.
