Ferrari takes the lead, leaves mafia in the rear-view mirror – Part 2
Friday, February 24th, 2012 6:34:09 by Usman KhalidFerrari would sell it to select few, 30 in total including Michael Schumacher, for a humble US $1.8 Million. For such an amount paid, one can own it but cannot drive it, because it is not road legal. It is only track-legal and can only be driven on Ferrari-approved tracks. The owner drives it on a SPECIFIC track but cannot take it home, Ferrari takes the whole $1.8 Million spent back to Italy, once the owner is done driving it for let’s say 3 … hours. But it’s a good deal; Ferrari team will tell the driver, for what it is worth, what was his performance on the track.
Recently Ferrari offered a once-in-a-lifetime deal to the owners of FXX, who own them but don’t actually have them. Offer said to the customers—30 in total—that if they are willing to pay $200,000, the company will install a rear spoiler to their FXXs that they don’t actually have in their porches. The spoiler will be made of … spoiler material and will help them on the tracks whenever Ferrari lets them drive their car.
So, let’s summarize this now. Ferrari produces a super car inspired by another Ferrari that was miles away from a looker, sells it to those who already are lamenting the Enzo; the customer owns the vehicle but cannot have it; he can drive it but not on the streets because it is not street legal.
Illusive isn’t it! What does mafia know about it? Hats off to Ferrari for pulling off such a sales stunt and WOW to those who purchased it but could not have it.
