Sony Xperia S

Sony started their presentation at the Mobile World Congress. The Japanese sealed the fair by introducing their latest phone, Xperia. However, after working for 10 years together, they have excluded Ericsson
from its mobile division.

Sony Xperia S, is a high-end mobile. It features a high definition screen, 4-inch video recording at 1080 pixels, 12-megapixel camera and it is certified to play PlayStation console titles on the phone or, if
connected, on the TV.

Kazuo Hirai, chief executive of Sony, has admitted
that the company is facing the challenge of maintaining leadership in digital imaging. He went on to reveal an aggressive plan, both in advertising and marketing. He stressed that they are ready to promote Xperia through a media campaign
which could be the biggest in their history.

Bert Nordberg, president and CEO of Sony mobile communications, led the presentation. The phrase "I have the good fortune to work in a company that won Grammys and Oscars" made sense to announce Sony Unlimited,
a service that unites film, series, multimedia content that will come standard on their mobiles. It also has more than 50 million songs.

Sony completed their presentation at Barcelona with two more phones: Xperia Q and U. The first has an aluminum casing, is a one-piece phone with Android (without specifying version), recall the Nokia 800 which
has a 4-inch screen and 8 megapixel camera.

The phone will come with several accessories among which is a kind of base called Smart Dock to connect to TV or a keyboard. 

Sony includes the NFC chip, designed for mobile payments now, but with new home automation utilities. The company will provide tag to pass the phone to know whether to connect music, remove the wifi, dim the
lights, and act according to the programs into the chip.

The Xperia range U, with a compact 3.5-inch screen. It has a dual core
processor. The camera is 8 megapixels and records in high definition.

Steve Walker, head of marketing for Sony mobile, emphasized at the interface of the phones and how it integrates with the design thereof. As always, price is not known, nor will market
operators will tell the price. However, it is believed that the device will be out in Europe before June.
