Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ in massive trouble; script stolen
Monday, February 27th, 2012 12:21:11 by Imran Shaukat KhanMadhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming film ‘Heroine’ is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year since it is going to feature the ultimate diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, and the style icon Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. However, this time the much-awaited film has stumbled upon a very unusual hurdle, as its script has been stolen.
Yes you heard it right. All the dialogues of ‘Heroine’ have been stolen. The dialogues were saved in writer Niranjan Iyengar’s laptop but it got stolen from his car. Mumbai Mirror has learned that the incident occurred when Iyengar’s car was parked in Karan Johar’s office.
Iyengar while talking about the incident insisted it is indeed a big blow, as he doesn’t have any backup and will now have to re-write all the dialogues. Iyengar in the meantime also confirmed that he has lodged a FIR at Khar Police Station.
The writer confirmed the news to the tabloid: “My laptop was stolen. All the dialogues of Heroine were stored in it. I have lodged a FIR (First Information Report) at Khar Police Station. Let’s hope I get it back but I think that the chances are slim.”
“Now I need to be on the set of Heroine and rewrite the dialogues. I don’t have the entire backup. I had emailed a chunk of it to Madhur, so that part is retained. But now, the remaining will have to be quickly rewritten,” Iyengar told the tabloid.
“Iyengar has consented to be on the set of Heroine. I am very thankful to him. Whatever happened is very unfortunate,” director Madhur Bhandarkar told the tabloid.
Previously, Madhur remained in a major mix after Bollywood’s diva Ashwarya Rai Bachchan backed out of the project due to her pregnancy. Nevertheless, thanks to Kareena, who came in to Madhur’s rescue by stepping in at the last moment.
Kareena Kapoor is currently the most profitable actress in the industry and as per the rumours revolving around she was Madhur’s original choice for the film.
Well, all said and done, let’s see how Madhur deals with the whole problem.
