The man with two faces

His name was Edward Mordrake and was born in the nineteenth century in England. It is told that he was attractive, intelligent and talented in music and studies. Also born into a wealthy family, his life could have become quite comfortable, except for the
extra face was embedded in his head, just behind his head.
There are several versions of the tale, some of which indicate that the extra face corresponded to a beautiful but diabolical younger sibling. However, these versions are invalid as is the case of a "parasitic twin".
The additional face that Edward had cried and laughed but did not speak, although it is said that it could produce hissing sounds. They say that the extra face was equipped with a malignant expression and that its eyes followed everything that moved around.
Edward’s life became a nightmare, and he was known to have said that his other face whispered evil things in his ear. According to him, these whispers were "horrible things that are heard only in hell". There were those who claimed that they had seen the
cruel face laughing as Edward cried.
Mordrake blamed his misfortune of some sin committed by one of his ancestors. He isolated himself completely from the world and refused to receive visitors, he even refused to see his own family. He asked his doctors to remove the ugly face even if it cost
him his life, but the doctors did not dare to undergo the operation.
Finally he committed suicide at the age of 23, leaving a note asking that his other face to be destroyed so he would not torment him in the grave. He also wanted to be buried in the countryside, outside the cemetery, and that one was to have any record of
where his tomb would be.
