Politics Uncensored: The time for revolution is here

The Pakistani nation comprises of the most patient people in the world. Despite all the atrocities of the government in form of high fuel prices, expensive food commodities, outrageous electricity and gas charges, load-shedding and minimal job opportunities,
the people are still holding on to their sanity and civility while hoping for the situation to improve in the near future.

For some reason, the assumption that by sitting and waiting for things to happen, they might just happen. Christopher Columbus did not just sit and wait for America to be discovered. Quaid-e-Azam did not just sit and wait for the British to walk out of India
after dividing it into two countries. Imran Khan did not just sit in the field and waited for the English team to hand him the cricket World Cup in 1992.

It is futile to wait for things to change for the better by simply sitting and doing nothing. Why would God help us if we do not help ourselves? After waiting for things to improve for decades, maybe it is time for the Pakistani people to go for a different
approach.

Even though majority of the country believes that democracy is the ladder with success waiting at the top. Looking at the composition of the political parties, one would have to be blind to miss the true intent of the politicians who raise slogans regarding
the necessity of democracy.

For years, people have been arguing that democracy gives them the right to elect. What use is that right if the people who come into power are not even aware of the grass-root problems or affected by them? What use is a system where an unqualified, uneducated
and incompetent person has an opportunity to take an entire nation hostage through his cunning mind?

The current leaders have no soft corner for the country or its people. The politicians view Pakistan as a money making machine, the possession of which would allow them to steal millions from the gullible population and stash them in foreign accounts with
the intended motivation of eventually running away while leaving the debris behind.

Hopefully the people will soon realise that they will have to rise and do something to protect it from the hijackers.
