Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 4:58:20 by Shahrukh SohailWith more and more Asians taking up the beautiful game, Newspakistan analyzes who is the best Pakistani plying his trade in foreign lands.
10. Sami Malik
The talented youngster is currently plying his trade with the Hertha Berlin U-17 team and has touted to have a bright future in the game. In an interview, he has stated his desire to make it on the International stage with Germany.
However due to the quality on display in the Bundesliga, it will be difficult for him to have real shot at the National team, making it highly probable that he could feature for the Pakistan National side in the future.
While his potential remains undoubted, he is lower on our list as his game is still yet to fully develop.
9. Amjad Iqbal
The 30-year-old has had the honour of representing the Green-Shirts but has also experienced his share of injuries in the past couple of years, which has resulted him in spending a lot of time on the sidelines.
Currently contracted to English side Bradford Park Avenue, he is looking to move up the pecking order of the footballing pyramid and given his International exposure and undoubted his abilities, he should make the cut for a more higher level of the game,
if he remains fit that is.
8. Adil Nabi
West Brom’s Adil Nabi is seen as the one of the brightest stars for Pakistan in the future. The attacking midfielder is also involved with the England youth-setup but like most Asians, aiming to represent the Three Lions, his road to glory won’t be an easy
one.
However if he chooses in the future, he can side with the Green-Kickers, which will allow him to raise the bar in the team and perhaps lead the revolution for the game in the country.
