ZTE expanding business overseas

ZTE Corp, China’s second–largest telecom equipment maker, wants to grab a bigger share of the over all market by overcoming the likes of Apple Inc, Nokia and Samsung Electronics co ltd.
There’s little arguing that ZTE has become the fourth largest manufacturer of phones, yet they want to be at the third spot. As evidence its conference room has been full of journalists and, surprisingly, the
Chinese minority, during the first day of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The phenomenon of Chinese mobile is not just local, that are topical. 60% of its sales are outside its borders, and aspire to more.
He Shiyou, ZTE worldwide product manager and vice-president who mounted the company sales and has been a part of their successes and future goals, played a vital part in leading the company to the fourth largest
manufacturer of mobiles.
However, the ambitious company wants to put more effort and want to double their sales in U.S and triple in Europe by 2015. To achieve these objectives, ZTE are playing their cards.
The company, meanwhile, has more than 80 devices, including tablets, cheap mobiles, medium-priced and expensive ones as well. They are nonetheless than any Windows Mobile, but most are Android and Nvidia processors
or Qualcomm.
"The next two to three years are critical for ZTE to catch up (with other leading cell phone makers such as Apple and Samsung)," He said.
He added: “Unlike the traditional telecom equipment industry, which has experienced relatively stable development in recent years, the global mobile-phone industry is changing quickly. The rapid industry growth will create chances
for ZTE to catch up with our rivals. But if we are not on the right track, we will quickly lose the opportunity.”
Although they have not communicated the price, but no doubt they will be significantly cheaper than the competition. The higher-end phone is with a quad-core processor at a speed of 1.3 Ghz, Android latest generation
4.3-inch screen and 7.8 mm wide.
