Nawaz Sharif lashes at government’s failure to serve masses
Thursday, March 1st, 2012 4:53:26 by Faisal FarooqPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif termed the government incompetent, saying there would not have been slogans of ‘Go Zardari Go’ if the government had served the country.
While addressing in Qazi Ahmed, Nawaz Sharif said the incumbent displayed ignorance towards flood relief activities and that is why lands were still inundated. He bashed the Sindh Government, amid exciting chants of ‘Go Zardari Go’ by asking it to come to see the living condition of the people.
He observed, “These are the people who used to help others; now they are in need of help.” He further stated that his government had eradicated the culture of terror in Sindh in his previous regime and would continue the practice in the future as well.
The PML-N leader strongly condemned the assailants on media professionals, saying such people were neither sincere with the ruling party nor the country.
In the meantime, he criticized the slapping incident involving Waheeda shah, saying such events create bad name for democracy.
Nawaz Sharif vowed to unite country, aiming at constructing a new highway that would connect Punjab provinces with Sindh.
The leader of the one of the largest party in the country said that they were invited to attend the All-Parties Conference (APC).
He, however, clarified that they would not participate in the APC until the murderers of Akbar Bugti are brought to the justice and missing persons are recovered.
Sharif asserted that that he would unite all provinces after coming into power, claiming that he wants to even the level of success across the country.
Expressing a wish, he stated that students in Sindh should be receiving laptops like students in Punjab are.
Wrapped in the local dress, the PML-N leader confidently said that the next government in Sindh will be of his party, and after coming into power, laptops will be distributed among the students.
He asserted, “Even then, we tell the government: Don’t wait for us. Sindh government, come and hand out laptops here”.
