Twelve years passed until one day the Civil Guard found him, his hair around his waist and covered with deerskin. His skin had turned brown and was covered with scars. His feet were full of calluses, because he was barefoot and he could barely pronounce
a few words.
They say that when he acquired more vocabulary, he was known to repeat: "I will gladly go back".
He was taken to a priest’s house where he was bathed and taught to use eating utensils. The priest decided to give Marcos to some nuns in Madrid, who took over from him and given a device made from two tables to correct the curve of column that appeared
after so many years walking hunched over.
At first it was very difficult to get used to the noises of the city. When he was hungry he got into a bar to eat, but he did not know he had to pay was involved in a lot of conflicts. Shortly afterwards he had to do military service, and their adaptation
was almost impossible.
The colonel finally understood that the army was not the place for a flamboyant guy like this.
Mark is 64 years old today and an incredible memory to transmit. Life has taken him many destinations in his quest to be a normal citizen. Even today, he does not understand many things and lose control when he sees someone mistreating an animal. After several
years living in a village near Orense, where he owns a house on a farm and is very loved by all his neighbours.
The story of his life will be seen on the silver screen soon in theaters thanks to director Gerardo Olivares. The film is titled "Among Wolves". Marcos will play his own role and actor Manuel Angel Camacho has been chosen to play the wild child.
Marcos has never ceased to yearn for that wildlife in nature and something that is often said: "This life is worse than the former, but much more worse".
