Gilani asserts his support for country

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani has recently given a statement in which he stated that he was the “strongest man at present” in the country. Having said that, the Prime Minister of Pakistan added that he did not plan to leave the country
in the lurch and stay “right here” through thick and thin.

Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed himself in the following manner while the Prime Minister of Pakistan was talking to reporters that were present at the inauguration ceremony of Air University Multan: "The PM is the strongest man at present. He will not go up,
inside or outside. He will stay right here. Now there will be no caretaker or chair-taker [government]. All the institutions are passing through an evaluation process… we want to strengthen parliament, judiciary and media but the institutions should work within
their domains."

the political scenario of the country because of the memo gate scandal that has engulfed the country. An America based Pakistani businessman, Mansoor Ijaz, had alleged in the past year that he had received an unsigned memo from the former Pakistani ambassador
to the United States, Hussain Haqqani, that asked for the help by the super power to assist in reigning in the military of Pakistan. According to the memo, the government of Pakistan ruled by the Pakistan People’s Party had feared that there might be a coup
in the country because of the death of Osama bin Laden.

On the one hand, the ruling party is facing trouble so are the leaders of the party, both the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani as well as the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan had been repeatedly asking the Prime Minister of the country to write to the Swiss probe in order to re start an investigation in which Asif Ali Zardari was named to be involved in money laundering along with Bhutto. However,
Yousuf Raza Gilani had consistently resisted the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for which he was held in contempt of court.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan faces severe charges as a consequence of the contempt charge.
