Meezan Bank to provide financing for ’Dell’ brand of Laptop Computers!

Karachi, March 5: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, has joined hands with M/s. Unique Technologies for financing of “Dell” brand of laptop computers through Meezan Bank’s Laptop financing product, Laptop Ease.

In this regard an MOU was signed by Mr. Arif ul Islam, COO of Meezan Bank and Mr. Asif Bukhari, CEO of Unique Technology here at Meezan Bank Head Office. Mr. Shahzad Aslam Khan, Country Head Dell and Mr. Naveed Siraj, Country Head Intel war also present at the occasion.

Laptop Ease is a Riba Free financing product based on the concept of ‘Musawamah’ whereby Meezan Bank provides financing for purchase of laptops at easy installments payable over 3 to 24 months. After signing of this agreement, Meezan Bank will also provide financing for Dell laptops.

Muhammad Raza, Head of Consumer Banking & Marketing at Meezan Bank said that “Our Laptop Ease product was launched on 26th April 2011. I am pleased to say that the consumer response has been very positive and during a period of just 10 months, we have financed more than 800 laptops”.
