Karachi: Awami National Party has once again failed to hold its rally in Karachi and has decided to postpone it further as the attack on one of its gathering few days back has suggested that security of those to participate in
the event was not ensured.
Announcing the decision to postpone the Karachi rally, speaking to the journalists at Mardan House, ANP chief Sindh Chapter Senator Shahi Sayed strongly condemned the firing at his welcome rally. He demanded of the Chief minister
and the Home minister Sindh to take notice of the incident.
Addressing the media personnel, Shahi Sayed said, “Regard for peace must not be mistaken for weakness.” He said the time for playing lip service was over and it was right time for the government to move for some practical steps.
Facilitating all the newly elected Senators, Syed said that he did not want to engage into a fight with anyone.
Citing these incidents along with the busy schedule of his party leaders, the president ANP Sindh chapter announced to postpone the public gathering for a later date.
